Shelter is the home of single mothers and orphaned children, living and affected by HIV/AIDS. Mai Tam welcomes and cares for them like a warm mother’s arms, caressing her child’s pain, bringing healing and lighting hope for a brighter tomorrow.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Mai Tam Shelter was founded in July 2005 by the brothers of the Order of Saint Camillo. A shelter is a house that welcomes, carries and takes care of mothers and children living with HIV/AIDS​

MEDICAL

Care, support for treatment, access to antiretroviral drugs and prevention of mother-to-child transmission

MENTALITY

Observe and evaluate specific behaviors to diagnose disorders. Provide a psychological intervention process

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Support for tuition fees, nutritious food, support for treatment and transfer to more than 200 children living with HIV/AIDS in the community

EDUCATION

Improving knowledge, humanizing education, life skills, fostering and developing talents for children

SPIRITUALITY

Guide, accompany, help children cultivate moral virtues, faith and grow up every day.

VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE

Supporting mothers to get vocational training and income-generating jobs, helping to improve their quality of life and spirit
